2 Dr. Sarita Ambadekar was recognized for her valuable contribution as a Program Committee Member and Reviewer at the International Conference on Advances in Science, Engineering and Management (ASEM 2026), held on 24–25 March 2026.
3 Dr. Sarita Ambadekar was recognized for her valuable contribution as a session chair in the International Conference on Artificial Intelligence for Climate Resilience, Green Innovation, and Sustainable Development (AI4GreenWorld 2026) organized by Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Jhulelal Institute of Technology, Nagpur, India ad Technically Sponsored by MG Aricent Educational Foundation, Nashik, held on 24–25 March 2026.
4 Dr. Sarita Ambadekar was invited as subject expert for the conduction of interviews for the post of professor, computer engineering by Maharashtra Lokseva Aayog at Belapur on 19-22 May 2026.
5 Dr. Sarita Ambadekar was appointed as Program Committee Member and Reviewer in the 2nd Congress on Intelligent Machines and Algorithms (CIMA 2026) organized by National Institute of Technology, Puducherry, India on 23-24 May 2026.
6 Dr. Sarita Ambadekar received the Springer Nature Reviewer Certificate for contributing as a peer reviewer for 3 manuscripts during 2025–26 for the journal Multimedia Tools and Applications.
7 Dr. Sarita Ambadekar received Best Paper Award for the paper titled TeleHealth: Leveraging Machine Learning and Deep Learning Techniques for Preliminary Minor Stroke Detection in the 2nd International Conference on Smart Technology and Artificial Intelligence (STAI 2026) organized by ACM Fremont Chapter, USA on 4-5 Apr 2026.
8 Dr. Sarita Ambadekar was recognized for her dedicated contribution as the College SPOC for Mastek Project Deep Blue for the period from Nov 2025 to Mar 2026.
9 Dr. Shyamal Virnodkar was invited as a resource person at K.K. Wagh College of Engineering and Research on 17th March 2026 to deliver a session in the first half day on “Machine Learning - Classification and Clustering” in an QIP sponsored workshop.
10 Dr. Shyamal Virnodkar (Convenor), Dr. Jyoti Wadmare (Co-Convenor), Dr. Mandar Biwalkar (Co-Convenor) and Dr. Kavita Bathe (Co-ordinator), Prof. Mrunali Desai (Co-ordinator) Organized a National Research Symposium on "Sustainable Agriculture Innovation through Geospatial and Artificial Intelligence " funded by Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF), Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India from 22nd April - 24th April 2026.
11 Dr. Shyamal Virnodkar (Principal Investigator), Dr. Jyoti Wadmare, Dr. Mandar Biwalkar (Co-PI) and Dr. Kavita Bathe, Prof. Mrunali Desai received ANRF, Government of India funding of Rs. 1,50,000/- for National Symposium to be held from 22-24th April 2026. It is for UG, PG and PhD students.
12 K.J. Somaiya Institute of Technology signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Vasantdada Sugar Institute, Pune, through the dedicated efforts of Dr. Shyamal Virnodkar, who served as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for this collaboration.
13 Dr. Shyamal Virnodkar was Session Chair at the International Conference on Smart Systems for Sustainable Development 2026 organized by Saboo Siddhhik College of Engineering, Byculla, Mumbai on 16 Apr 2026.
14 Dr. Shyamal Virnodkar has been appointed as a Member of the Board of Studies for the Computer Science & Engineering Department at Maharashtra Institute of Technology, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, for the period from 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2027.
15 Dr. Shyamal Virnodkar has been serving as a Governing Council and General Body Member of K.J. Somaiya Institute of Applied Agricultural Research (KIAAR), Sameerwadi, Karnataka, since 18 February 2021.
16 Dr. Kavita Bathe was invited as an AI Expert in Panel Discussion at Bal Sammelan Organized by Government of Maharashtra on 17th March 2026.
17 Dr. Kavita Bathe was invited as a resource person at K.C. College of Engineering & Management Studies & Research on 23rd March 2026 to deliver a seminar on “Deep Learning in Action.”

19 Dr. Kavita Bathe invited as a Session Chair at Global Tech Convergence: International Conference on Computing and IT Advancements 2026 (DMCE-GTC 2026) organized by Datta Meghe College of Engineering from 28–29 April 2026.
20 Dr. Mandar Bivalkar was invited as a resource person at IIT Roorkee on 17 February 2026 in the workshop organized by the department of Electronics and communication in association with DRDO.
21 Dr. Dhanashree Toradmalle was invited as Academic Mentor for Administration Plan Workshop at Vidyalankar School of Information Technology, Wadala on 6 th June 2026.
22 Ms. Pradnya Patil was session Chair for 2nd Congress on Intelligent Machines and Algorithms (CIMA 2026) organized by National Institute of Technology, Puducherry, India in association with Springer & Soft Computing Research Society on 24th May 2026.
23 Prof. Pradnya Patil received the Certificate of Inspiring Guidance & Innovation Mentorship for successfully mentoring the student project “Geoswipe” at the CiiA-5 Innovations Exhibition held from 5th to 7th February 2026 at Nehru Science Centre, Worli, Mumbai.
24 Prof. Pradnya Patil was Runner Up under PhD Pursuing Category in National Symposium on Sustainable Agriculture Innovation through GeoSpatial and Artificial Intelligence orhanized by K.J.Somaiya Institute of Technology,Sion in association with Anusandhan National Research Foundation, Department of Science and Technology, Govt of India on 22-26 Apr 2026.
25 Ms. Pradnya Bhangale was awarded a Certificate of Achievement for serving as College SPOC and contributing significantly to the successful execution of Project Deep Blue organized by Mastek Limited (Nov 2025 – Mar 2026).
