Title of Project Brief / Abstract
1 Dr. Namrata Ansari Low Cost Smart Irrigation System Ensuring irrigation in orchards requires a regular supply of huge amounts of water to the trees. However, since monsoons are the only source of rainwater in India, the water collected must be stored to last for the rest of the year. Moreover, the amount of water required for irrigation is drastically high during the summers which is very often difficult to cater to. In order to sustain the demand of water for irrigation in such high amounts throughout the year, it is required to maintain a on-demand irrigation system which supplies water to the trees when the soil moisture content falls below a certain threshold which may vary over time depending on the external environment. University Mumbai 50,000/- No 3rd International Conference on Advanced in Science and Technology ICAST-2020 IoT based Cost-effective Centralised Smart Irrigation System using LoRa , April 8-9, 2020 Reduction in labor due to availability of remote access to irrigation system operations.
2 Ms. Vricha Chavan Implementation of RFID based client server system for student centric Applications Students spend a long time I queues to take Xerox, pay canteen bills and take printouts in lab. This RFID based System works on the RFID chip embedded in the identity card and a student database system helps to monitor the student wallet. The money is automatically deducted after getting the Xerox, printout etc by swapping this card. A warning mail will be sent if the amount goes below predefined threshold value. University Mumbai 15,000/- In Progress Conference paper in ICAST 2020 Prototype ready and working properly.
3 Ms. Vricha Chavan Real Time Currency Counter The project consists of Feature extraction of the image of the currency to use it to identify, segregate and collect the currency in predefined boxes using a belt and pulley system in donation box. It also counts the amount of currency and updates total amount to the concerned persons. It uses an IR sensor, a real time camera and conveyer belt to process the coins. University Mumbai 25,000/- In Progress Conference paper in ICAST 2020 on feature extraction Techniques Prototype ready and working properly.
4 Ms. Sandhya Deshpande Image processing on C# The project is to make a machine to auto-detect the position of the ball in a roulette wheel and a video magnifier is a reading aid for people with low vision photos again. A handheld video magnifier is a small, lightweight electronic magnifier that is easy to use. Due to its complex size it is easy to carry along anywhere you go.it can be magnified and increase contact on the spot. IoT based Remote Monitoring and Controlling System for Sugarcane Farm Field Irrigation Geoinformatic & geospatial (GIS) techniques suited to Indian farming conditions were assessed by many researchers in India. Machine Learning, Spatial Data Mining techniques were also used for the sustainable agricultural crop production, examining farm conditions, accurate and timely forecasts, estimations, soil amendment, erosion and remediation. It is used to reduce farm input costs, learning & expert policy decisions like import-export, pricing marketing distribution etc. Firefly (FF) optimization algorithm was also proposed for Feature Selection (FFFS)such as plant images, soil characteristics, and weather factors. Estimating mean and variance of cane weight, number of stalks, cane height, brix, and internode length, cane diameter in seven families of sugarcane seedlings. Optimum plant geometry of sugarcane was found through drip irrigation and to compare water use and water use efficiency. Study has been conducted to test the effects of soil test fertilizer recommendation (STFR) along with organic manure on growth, yield, quality and soil health under sugarcane cultivation. Architecture for integration of cloud computing for Internet of Things and its issues was also studied. They predicted ubiquitous sensing services and powerful processing of sensing data streams. However, there is very less work available on the use of IoT based Smart Remote Sensing Techniques for monitoring & management of Smart Sugarcane Irrigation, varieties and growth stages, real time crop health, water and nutritional status for sugarcane farming in India . However, this technology can provide new opportunities based on remotely sensed data available over the cloud for proper analysis ,management ,expert decision making, reducing farm input cost as fertilizer, fuel, seed, transportation, mapping ,presentations, and increasing sugarcane yield with less human efforts. National Agricultural Science Fund Applied(20000000/- ) Nil Nil 1. Remote Monitoring & management of soil moisture, humidity and thermal canopy for sugar cane crop.
2. Sensors based data on cloud server will provide the requirement of water by the crops, humidity levels, enquired temperature.
