This project is developed in collaboration with Lawson Health Research Institute London, Ontario, Canada, Western University. The mental state among young students is degrading because of increasing competition, academic pressure, family issues, social anxiety etc. Many offline solutions like counseling, educating parents about a child’s mental state, EBP – MI (Motivational Interview) are several solutions. Coming to digital solutions, in recent findings, AI based mental health interventions are designed where different chatbots and virtual counselors are provided to help young students.

Ashoka - Mansik Shakti is an application research program which will use answers of the users as their preferences and predict the students’ current mental health status. It will help to tackle student depression, a problem in the modern educational system. This begins with a common survey of students in which they will answer some questions categorized as General Health Questions and Past Experiences. Based on the survey’s responses the machine learning model used for predicting mental health status will be trained.
